CUBS AND BROWNIES GET THE BIRD!

Moxby Moor Cubs and Galtres Brownies from Huby were recently entertained by Minster Falconry.Helen and Andrew Fawcett brought along a selection of Birds of Prey to show the youngsters and their leaders.Rolo the Eagle Owl gave a flying demonstration, with the children lying on the floor to listen out for any sounds made during flight.There were then questions to be answered about the birds, with those giving winning answers having the chance to fly the Barn Owl.Outside we were given a demonstration of the diving skills of the Peregrine Falcon when after its prey.They were then introduced to the Little Owl, the smallest of the British owls.Everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining evening.
