Jake Continues the Family Tradition

Jake Rhodes (age 6) last Saturday presented a cheque for £270 to Stuart Revell (Chairman of ETAFC) having been sponsored by many local friends and family before completing this year’s Galtres Run. The funds will go towards new equipment for the junior section of the club and in particular the under 7’s. Jake is pictured with Stuart and also his father Clive and grandfather Paul Horseman. As Stuart told the Advertiser:“This is a fantastic achievement by Jake on behalf of everyone at the club and I am so grateful for his very kind donation. What made the donation so special is that it included his father who now coaches the juniors and also manages the senior reserve team for the club; also, his grandfather, who has for a number of years supported the club in a variety of ways. Not only has Paul sponsored many of our senior teams, it must be remembered that every week during the entire season, he provides all the catering for our players and the visiting teams.Although not in the picture, Jake’s mother, Lisa, has also been a great help to the club, and again I am very grateful for everything she has done. As everyone knows, we also have a very talented footballer in Jake and with 5 goals already this season and being selected for extra coaching in York, we may just have a future premiership footballer in our ranks. Old Trafford, here we come!!!!
