New Head and Deputy Head Boys and Girls appointed at Easingwold School

Easingwold School’s most senior students, colloquially known as the ‘Big Four’, have been appointed from Year 12 for the next twelve months. Ellen Hughes will be the new Head Girl and Emily Hake Deputy Head Girl; Head Boy will be Matthew Batten while Jez Lowe will be Deputy Head Boy.In addition to these posts there will be four Ambassadors for Easingwold School, leading in areas ranging from Primary Transition to Learning. They are: Tom Curtis, Holly Dunford, Alex McIntosh and Michael Wintermeyer.The eight students were shortlisted for the positions after applications were invited from all Year 12 students. The shortlisting was carried out by senior sixth form staff and students, and the final interviews were conducted by the Interim Head Teacher, Geoff Jenkinson, and Deputy Head Teacher, Emma Robins.After announcing the appointments to students, staff and parents, Mr Jenkinson said: “This was one of the most difficult appointments I have had to make. All eight young people presented themselves magnificently for interview – smart, enthusiastic, bright and full of good ideas. I am sure they will provide high quality leadership.”
