Pupils visit fire station to learn about safety
Last half tem a group of Year7 pupils from Easingwold School visited Northallerton Fire Station for an activity day known as the Bridge Project. The event was run by North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and was designed to teach younger members of the community about safety.Activities included hose running, a session about arson and hoax call, and a demonstration of how people are rescued from cars following a road traffic accident.Pupils and staff found the day very informative and enjoyable. Mrs Robinson, Head of Year 7, said: “The pupils had learned a great deal from the day and enjoyed the experience very much. We are very grateful to the Fire and Rescue Service for giving us this opportunity to learn at first hand about safety and the work of the service.” Full Article Archived News View All...
