Stillington joins the Bell Ringers to welcome in the London 2012 Olympic Games

On Friday morning, 27th July, at 08.12, Stillington Church bells were rung by Harold Tomlinson, David Martin and John Clark.They were joined by Belinda Wells on the Primary School bell and some 50 children & villagers with their handbells, cycle bells, cow bells, door bells & whatever else was at hand.It was a fantastic, fun and very noisy three minutes to join in with bellringers right across the UK and other countries. Good idea from Martin Creed to make “All the Bells”, just one part of an incredible 2012 Olympic event.
