“THROUGH REMEMBRANCE, WE YEARN FOR PEACE!”

“Through Remembrance, We Yearn for Peace!” – this was the slogan adopted by Churches Together in Easingwold and District (CTED) for their ‘Day of Peace’ last Saturday, Armistice Day. After the Remembrance service, assisted by Easingwold Town Band, and the two minutes silence at the War Memorial, we assembled on the Galtres Green, where we were joined by friends from the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, some of whom are resident in Easingwold.
