The Boot Shop (United Response) ...

Monday, 31st March marked the last day of the Boot Shop in Easingwold. As of April 2025, they move onto pastures new in York.

This consolidation of two United Response centres is a huge loss for Easingwold. Not only did the residents benefit from the additional needs support, but the town benefited from them. The Boot Shop residents were a big part of the community, with local work placements and activities.

Not only is it a great shame to lose a local service, but it also means that Easingwold residents will have to find other travel arrangements to get to the York branch.

The Easingwold community wishes them all the best in their new location and hope it enhances the service they already receive.
