Easingwold Lions support new playground for Newton on Ouse ...

Residents of all ages in Newton on Ouse are set to get a new community play park thanks to a £78,000 grant from FCC Communities Foundation and a £500 grant from Easingwold Lions.

The money will be used to provide modern inclusive play equipment, resurfacing of the play area and refurbishment to existing play equipment.

The new space will cater to a broader age range, ensuring that every child, regardless of ability, can enjoy a fulfilling play experience in the village.

Stephen Calvert, Chair of NOOCA, says: “The long history of the playground as a cherished space in the village underscores its importance as a social and recreational landmark.

It’s more than just a play area; it’s a venue where generations of families have congregated, forming lasting memories and bonds within the community.”
