District Explorer Scouts “Leading” the way ...

As the Easingwold Scouting programme for the summer term came to an end, it was rounded off with an awards night at the Dawney outdoor centre.

4 of the Explorer Scout – Young Leaders were awarded their completion certificates, badges and Explorer Young Leader belt buckles to recognize their efforts over the last year, learning the skills and techniques of being a leader within the Scouting family.

These Scouts have been involved in one of the 3 Scouts groups in the District, assisting the adult leaders with running games, supervising activities, planning and preparing each week and ensuring the younger members in the Beavers and Cubs get the best possible scouting experience.

As well as the Young Leader Awards, 3 Explorers were also awarded their Platinum Chief Scout Award.

All of these Young people have been involved in Scouting for many years and have represented their Groups, the District and the UK both here and abroad.
