Scouts Christmas Appeal Success...

Scouts, Cub Scouts and Beaver Scouts from across Galtres (formerly Easingwold) District Scouts decided on Kitchen For Everyone York as the focus of our Christmas appeal this year following group discussions about local issues.

Kitchen for Everyone York (KEY) is a registered charity providing meals to the homeless & vulnerable of York on a Tuesday evening and Sunday morning along with a Saturday evening outreach programme.

Their mission is to help and support individuals who find themselves homeless in our area by providing hearty & nutritional meals, clothing, toiletries, sleeping bags, snacks and any other essential items they may require.

The response to this appeal has been fantastic. Firstly, the commitment and enthusiasm of the Scouts themselves and secondly the generosity of so many people in our community.
