Outwood Academy Easingwold – Equestrian Team – Chasing the Hickstead Dream...

January – Start of the new year with high hopes and new challenges set. It certainly was a chilly day in January to be stood outside watching the show jumping, but parents, guardians, friends and family accepted the challenge in order to support the riders.

The school had 8 Riders and 9 ponies who travelled to Northallerton Equestrian Centre for the NSEA County Showjumping, with students representing the Academy from Year 7 to Sixth Form.

Maddy Brown rode a super round and was 4th in the 80cm as an individual.

The OAE80 Team (Anna, Darcey, Maddy and Bobbie) and the OAE90 Purple Team (Sophie, Bobbie and Darcey) both rode brilliantly, fantastic effort by all jockies and ponies.

With Bobbie securing an individual 3rd in the 90cm. A fantastic ride Bobbie and an incredible result in a field of 74 riders........
