Busy Beavers – Boats and Bikes...

The three Scouts groups in the Galtres District have been working together over the last fortnight to coordinate two joint activities for the Beaver sections.

On Friday 28th June, twenty-seven Beavers from 1st Kyle valley & 1st Moxby Moor Scout Groups, met at the Aldwalk Activity Centre for an evening on the river.

Beavers spent nearly 2 hours on the water in a variety of canoes and paddleboards. Much appreciation to the team at the activity centre and the safety crew on the day.

Millfield Park was the venue for a big bike bonanza with the Beavers from 1st Kyle Valley and 1st Easingwold Scout Groups.

A total of 40 arrived at 6pm to take part in a range of two-wheeled activities utilizing the bump track and the cycle ways around the Millfield area, learning about cycle safety and how to pump up their tyres.
