The Great North Swim In Lake Windermere June 2026

On Saturday 13th June, I tackled The Great North Swim (one mile) in Lake Windermere.

I was raising funds for the three churches I serve, at Brafferton Myton and Thormanby.

Though the weather was kind with very little wind and no rain, the water was very choppy. I cannot lie; it really was a trial. I had my wet suit, goggles and a float without which I would not have managed.
