Finals and promotion hopes for Stillington Squash Club...

Stillington Squash Club has had a great season in the York & District Squash Leagues this year. With the season almost over, the men’s 2nd team has reached the final of The Riley Cup – a handicap competition that pits teams from across all five divisions against one another.

Having seen off Malton 2nd team in the semi-final, Stillington 2s will face Wigginton 7s next Tuesday, away at Wigginton Squash and Social Club.

It is hoped that the inevitably partisan home support won’t have too much of an impact on the overall outcome.

Second team Captain, Mark Dransfield commented, “For a small village club like Stillington, it is fantastic to reach the final of such a well-regarded local competition."........."
