Local MP Visits Galtres Centre...

Sir Alec Shelbrooke – the local Member of Parliament (MP) for Wetherby & Easingwold – joined trustees, volunteers and staff at The Galtres Centre on Friday to learn more about the centre.

The volunteer-led community centre first opened in the town in 1983, and sits at the heart of the town offering a range of leisure activities and entertainment.

Chair of Trustees, Dr Roger Westerman, and volunteers showed Sir Alec around the facilities, which include gym, sports hall, cycling studio and outdoor pitch, offering fitness and exercise classes for all ages.
