We made it!
After so many months without any events in person, it was such a treat for Forest of Galtres Society members to attend a real visit – and in person!
A special venue was found, and visited on a reconnoitre. Then on 23rd June, various friendly ‘bubbles’ in cars took to the road for Thornton Hall Gardens.
Where can the gardens be found? On the Staindrop Road, just west of Darlington. A quite wonderful place. Walled spaces amid farmland. The Hall itself standing grey and solid, with the most amazing architecture…..
